Hello all! Apple season is upon us and I thought I would share this since Rob shared his canned apple pie filling.
I usually get a bushel plus of apples to can applesauce and make ~ a dozen pies using the recipe in the link below. I do the "freeze for later" and give several away.
Nothing like grabbing a pie from freezer during holidays -- or middle of Feb!
I also did one using the smoker --following the recipe for baking the frozen pie to a tee. Bourbon brown sugar pellets. Was fabulous!
If you have the freezer space, I highly recommend!
